S. final [rr] became [r]; [-rr] > [-r]

S. final [rr] became [r]; [-rr] > [-r]

Based on a single example, it seems that long final [rr] became single [r] in Noldorin:

Given the frequency with which other long final consonants shortened, it seems likely this change applied to Sindarin as well, and the lack of examples is simply a coincidence.

Conceptual Developments: It seems probable this change also applied to Gnomish and Early Noldorin in the 1910s and 1920s as well, but there are no clear examples.
