- ⚠️ᴺS. !rhûd, n. “dwelling underground, artifical cave, rockhewn hall, mine” [created by David Salo, GS] (Category: Cave)
- S. groth “large excavation, delving, underground dwelling; [N.] cave, tunnel, [G.] grot”
A neologism proposed by David Salo in his Gateway to Sindarin, the equivalent of Q. hróta (GS/284). As we already have plenty of attested words for caves and mines, I see no need for this word.
- Q. hróta “dwelling underground, artificial cave or rockhewn hall”
√ROT “cave; delve underground, dig, excavate, tunnel, [ᴹ√] bore; [ᴱ√] hollow”
