Elvish wife of Eriol in the earliest Lost Tales (LT2/290), glossed “Éadgifu” = Old English “Joy-Gift”. Variants include Nelmir (PE15/17) and Earisse, the latter equated to “Edith”. The etymology of these names is unclear.
