G. talc adj. “upright” (Category: to Stand)

An adjective in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “upright”, probably related to G. tâl “foot” (GL/68) and the early root ᴱ√TALA “support” (QL/88).

Neo-Sindarin: Since √TAL was still the basis for “foot” words in Tolkien’s later writings, I would adapt this adjective as ᴺS. talch “upright, *(orig.) on one’s feet”.
