A neologism for “to make swell” coined by Helge Fauskanger in his Neo-Quenya New Testament (NQNT), a transitive variant of [ᴱQ.] pulu- “swell”. Given ᴺQ. alapulúna “unleavened, unfermented, (lit.) unswollen”, it can also mean “to leaven” as in the act of yeast causing bread to swell.
