*ᴱ√FOVO or *ᴱ√FOBO is a hypothetical root serving as the basis for words in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s such as G. fôf “fool” and G. fofrin “foolish” (GL/35). I think it is worth retaining as a (Sindarin-only?) Neo-Eldarin root ᴺ√PHOB “fool” to salvage these early words.
