G. glen(n) adj. “thin, fine, slender” (Category: Thin (in Dimension))
An adjective appearing as glen “slender” in the Gnomish Grammar of the 1910s (GG/11). In the contemporaneous Gnomish Lexicon it appeared as G. {glen >>} glenn “thin, fine” and was related to G. lenc and ᴱQ. léni (GL/39). It was thus derived from the early root ᴱ√LENE “long” as suggested by Christopher Tolkien (QL/53; LT2A/Glend).
